Headbanging. Moshing. Crowds shouting along to growled vocals and crunching guitar riffs. Perhaps an intimidatingly absurd guy or two with a massive beard and/or multiple tattoos pouring 10 dollar beers on indiscriminate bystanders. Even though all of these sights are pretty much givens at many metal concerts, don't look forward any of them at an Alcest show. The French duo, made up of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Neige and drummer Winterhalter, participate in a fusion of post-rock, shoegaze, and black metal that's far more conducive to introspective daydreaming than collective abode of the damned-raising. But despite the often serene nature of their music, Alcest demonstrated at their current concert at Glazart in Paris that they can hold the rapt attention of several hundred rockers decent as well as their more aggressive brethren.

Shortly after the doors opened at the small venue, associate Frenchmen Soror Dolorosa took the stage. Opening ditty "Autumn Wounds" kicked off the short set with a repetitive bass riff as chorus-member Andy Julia staggered onto the stage clad in tight leather pants, acme-heeled boots, and a pin-studded leather jacket. Unfortunately, Julia's grounds moaning couldn't justify his theatrical mic stand gestures and over the top semblance. As Soror Dolorosa repeated their rather uninteresting formula of icy, delayed guitar licks, elemental drumbeats, and unchangingly steady basslines, many people in the growing audience headed to the bar or stared into while, slack-jawed. The only memorable aspect of the performance was an incredibly stormy, slightly overdriven bass tone courtesy of Hervé Carles.

L'house de tourisme côte d'Emeraude-Val d'Arguenon, tenait son assemblée générale, mardi. Il a fait état de 19 500 accueils physiques en 2011, de 40 056 connexions au locate internet, de 27 205 personnes renseignées et a constaté le renforcement de la customerèle de proximité : + 7 % sur la provenance du Grand Ouest qui fournit la moitié de la patronèle accueillie.

Une évolution quantitative qui s'est accompagnée d'une démarche qualité régionale traduite par des évaluations très encourageantes attribuées par le « patron mystère » : 8,22/10 pour Plancoët (8,11 en 2010) et 8,08/10 emerge Saint-Jacut (7,99 en 2010).

Sur le plan de l'animation, 41 sorties accompagnées, 16 expositions estivales, 1 randonnée de nuit, la grande récré, ont agrémenté la saison en suscitant l'intérêt de 3 600 participants (+ 33 %).
