Sphinx Gems, LTD. is a UK (England) based jewelry shape quarters, located at 111 Power Entr in London. They began operations in 1947 (naught, S. Root) and go on with in Britain artistry to this day, however, they stopped producing pieces signed/patent with the Sphinx name in 2000. Sphinx is known for their mark construction and showstopping raiment jewelry designs. The minuscule works employs 200-300 people, and they produced jewelry designs for dominating names such as Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler & Wilson, Joe Mazer (Jomaz), Alfred Philippe (Trifari), Nina Ricci, and Fried Paris. They also did jewelry for Saks 5th Ave., Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Marks & Spencer, as well as other outrageous end branch stores in Europe and the Synergistic States. I am impotent to find any message that indicates whether or not Sphinx continues to produce jewelry for Kenneth Jay Lane.
