"It took awhile," she said. "I wanted to get everything booming
before I had a ribbon cutting."
Just days ago, she put up her road sign. Then she added her
blemished employee, a sign that she's growing. It's her plan to go
slowly and steadily.
Blackhurst and stylists Nancy Aron, Avrie Noyes and Caitlyn
Bentley minister to hair coloring, perms and cuts, serving men, women
and children. Stylists take care of facial waxing, such as removing
unwanted eyebrow hairs, and hair removal. Blackhurst doesn't yet do
nails, but she said if a stylist wanted to profession for her and do
nails in the process, she'd be willing to try it.
"I'm a new business," she said. "I'm not saying this is all I'm
accepted to do. I am open to growth, open to change."
Her tag line is "your reflection is our replica." This means
stylists give clients the kind of appearance the clients wish for, and
their reflections in a mirror as they see themselves are the image
the salon wants. It's all about making clients exuberant with their
looks.
