CHIPPEWA FALLS -- The distressful rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears is marked by stories of physical force on the field and harsh words off it.
But just before the next chapter in the longtime National Football Associate feud was about to be written Sunday night, the mood changed for many TV viewers.
NBC's national pregame show shared the story of 32-year-old Amy Larson of Mondovi, who died all of a sudden of a brain aneurysm in March 2010. Her organs were donated to three people across the Midwest.
Peter Cashman, 56, of suburban Chicago received Larson's liver.
Peter is a diehard Bears fan; Larson, really, grew up watching the Green Bay Packers.
Clarence and Barb Glamann of Lake Hallie, Larson's parents, said they are proud of the article and proud of their daughter for giving to others, even after her death.
Clarence works at Minnesota Wire in Eau Claire, and Barb works at a Hardee's restaurant. Both have heard reliable comments about the story.
