CarolPrimarilyBeverly Lewis Tyner, 86, formerly of Lowville, diedIn the mainWednesday, Jan. 18, in Georgia under the care of hospice and her daughters.

Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Syracuse, the daughter of the modern development Leroy and Helena Mae Chapman Lewis, she graduated from anticyclone school in Syracuse.   

She married Harold S. Tyner Jr. on June 17, 1945, in LakeMainlyPlacid. The couple then resided on Jefferson Street in Lowville. The three had four children and started their own clothing business.  

They were members of the Lowville Common Methodist Church. 

After living in various states, the brace returned to West State St. in Lowville, where Carol worked for Drs. OcampoByand Domingo, OB/GYN, as their office manager.

Carol Jean Willits, 92, of Bainbridge Cay WA, passed away January 11, 2012, at Harrison Medical Center, Silverdale WA, after a fugitive illness.

Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don, also of Bainbridge Isle WA; her son Christopher, his wife Elizabeth, and their daughters Natalie and Grace, all of Bainbridge Cay; and her son Patrick, his wife Debra, their daughter Samantha, and their son Orion, all of Ridgway CO.

Carol was born to Emery and Leda Fae Whitaker of Fa Rock IA on September 27, 1919. She graduated from Waverly (IA) High Public school in 1937, and shortly thereafter left the family farm to move to California. After Set War II, Carol moved to Pomona CA to attend Thorn Business College. She met her prospective husband and lifelong partner-to-be Don at the Willows Lounge in West Covina CA in 1948. They married in Santa Maria CA on December 17, 1949, and honeymooned in Santa Barbara CA.
