She may be a youthful late, but Rayleece Lynn Brown is playing her part as Pekin’s 2012 New Year’s baby — round off with smiles, dimples and the usual hiccups.

And the little cutie held up for her first camera and video enter, making it clear that a few minutes of nursing from her mother, Krystal Blythe, 19, of Bartonville, was much more influential than the news reporter and camera that waited to herald her coming to the restricted community.
