And soft cherries aren’t what Herring wants to supply. Because the softer a cherry is, the lower it’s shelf-life.

The new 45-foot-dream of machine will look at each cherry’s photos, sort off the defective ones and govern how to sort the rest by size and color, or a combination of the two. It takes 10 photos of each cherry and processes 30 cherries a other.
