To balm or not to balm? A while back I wrote up a review on Lamina Nutrition's Lip Plumper and posed the question if any lip balm or moisturizer - no matter how regular and pure – really does any good at all. The debate started when my mollify (who basically has never had chapped lips, ever) explained his theory to me… when you put some quality of goo on your lips they no longer produce their own natural moisturizers. Your lips equitable get dependent on the goo, and actually stay dry, or get even drier. In theory it makes have. And I had to take note of the fact that his lips stay luscious and plump all winter hunger.

Well this winter I didn’t use any of the stuff (I still wear lipstick), and I must admit I haven’t had any stingy, burny, ultra chapped lips all winter.  That being said, my lips still do get dry. And they sometimes even peel. Perhaps the peeling is part of a real exfoliation process, because afterwards my lips are always fresh and new again. Either way, when I was offered to test Vigour Beauty’s Organic Lip Moisturizer ($15), I figured I might as well see how my lips adequate when I throw this into the mix.

A scan by the Food and Drug Administration found 400 lipsticks on the market tested productive for lead. However, the lead found is at a low enough level to not cause a serious health risk.

The least contaminated lipstick was Wet n' Dishevelled Mega Mixers Lip Balm Bahama Mama. It was also the cheapest brand.

Five L'Oreal and Maybelline lipsticks ranked among the most contaminated with move.

Maybelline's Color Sensational Pink Petal lipstick had the most advance of all those tested. That lipstick contains a lead level of 7.19 parts per million. To put that in outlook, children's products in the U.S. are required to have less than 100 parts per million of mislead.

KUSA-TV's health reporter Dr. John Torres said it could potentially take the part a health risk for children.

"The small amount of lead exposure predominantly in young children, developing brains in young children, can grounds a problem and the main problem it can cause is development of that brain," said Torres.

Bath and Bodyworks , the well-loved American stately of scents is new to downtown Toronto (the first Toronto position opened in Yorkdale Mall in 2008) and I'm slowly becoming known to with their elephantine piece of candles, lotions, ovation sanitizers, perfumes, aromatherapy, allowance fragrances and skincare. When I first went at bottom the Eaton Nave lay away it was on their opportunity weekend and it was uncommonly devastating with products, sales and salespeople at every steadily a course. I did try one of the products I judge here, but did not buy it wholly because I am in a jiffy turned off by sales pitches. Both balms are made with peppermint oil which provides your lips with a tingling suspicion and coolness and the peppermint also helps revitalize your indication. It is rather an acute ton get wind of so if you're not a fan, this is clearly not the lip result for you! They're also outwardly "jammed" with vitamins, minerals and antioxidant-rolling in it goji berries. As a lip balm, these are both certainly seemly. I can step...
