What are the holes in the facade of Santa Maria Novella for?
Question: On the facade, there are multiple feel mortified holes (about five or six). I noticed them in a close up of a slide my art story teacher showed my class, but we cannot seem to find what they're there for. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could reprove me. citing sources
